Summary
Let freedom ring at Paddy’s! After an argument about constitutional rights and smoking in the bar, Mac and Dennis decide to lift all behavioral restrictions, and Paddy’s soon goes wild. Meanwhile, Charlie and Dee head off to an antitobacco demonstration.
Our Take
A middling episode with a solid premise that only half lands. The bar-goes-lawless storyline has some good chaos, though it runs out of steam before the end. Charlie and Dee’s protest subplot feels like filler until it collides with the main plot for the best joke of the half hour. Watchable, but season two has stronger entries.
