Summary
Dee receives e-mails from a man who claims to be her father, so she confronts Frank and Barbara to find out what’s up. Meanwhile, Mac seeks out his own dad, who’s in prison.
Our Take
A strong closer to the season that leans into the show’s meanest instincts. Charlie and Mac’s prison visit is the highlight, with some genuinely uncomfortable comedy that pays off the season-long buildup. Dee’s storyline is thinner but Dennis getting way too invested in his new dad keeps it funny. The ending lands a properly ugly punchline, which is exactly what you want from this show.
