Episode Summary & Review
Summary
The Elrics, realizing alchemy has yet to unlock the mysteries of creating life, feel powerless when a new friend goes into labor. Winry, however, jumps into action with a young thief named Paninya.
Our Take
A breather episode that mostly works because Winry finally gets something to do beyond wrench jokes. The birth storyline has a nice payoff even if the baby drama feels a bit manufactured, and Paninya is fun without overstaying her welcome. It’s slight, though, and you won’t miss much plot-wise if you skip it. Fine as a palate cleanser after last week’s heavy stuff.
