Episode Summary & Review
Summary
In the aftermath of the battle with the Hand, Matt loses part of his hearing and heals with the aid of the nuns at the orphanage where he grew up. Meanwhile, Foggy and Karen try to move on with their lives, and an FBI agent reaches out to Fisk with surprising results.
Our Take
A quiet, bruised opener that spends most of its hour with Matt broken and alone, and Charlie Cox sells every bit of that misery. Foggy and Karen’s storylines feel like placeholders for now, though the Fisk material at the end lands hard. Slow, but it sets the season’s grim tone well.
