The study group gets animated in the vein of the 1980’s ‘G.I. Joe’.
Our Take
The G.I. Joe animation gimmick is lovingly done, with the cheap 80s style and toy-commercial breaks landing some real laughs. But the episode leans so hard on nostalgia that the actual story feels thin, and the emotional reveal doesn’t hit like the show wants it to. Fun for fans of the cartoon, forgettable otherwise.
