Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Baseball players’ union contracts are up for renegotiation and a potential strike threatens the future of baseball altogether. Jim and Jules give it one last go and try to negotiate the terms of their potential relationship.
Our Take
The parallel between the baseball labor fight and Jim and Jules figuring out their own deal is a bit on the nose, but the show mostly earns it. Hank Azaria and Amanda Peet still sell every scene together, even when the plotting feels rushed toward a series finale. A solid, slightly sad hour that lands its emotional swings more often than not.
