Summary
Jim takes a new gig as an Atlanta major league announcer. Charles focuses on the new direction his career might take. Confronted with the truth about a legendary announcer, Jim attempts to do the right thing in the most Brockmire way possible.
Our Take
A fairly solid episode that leans on Hank Azaria’s ability to make bad decisions entertaining. The stuff with the legendary announcer gives Jim a real moral snag to chew on, and his predictably self-sabotaging response lands some good laughs. Charles’s career subplot is thinner and mostly feels like setup. Not the season’s best, but it moves things along nicely and earns its runtime.
