Summary

The family becomes gravely concerned when Walt doesn’t show up for his son’s 16th birthday celebration. And Jesse’s lab skills are tested in Walt’s absence.

Our Take

The cartel episode: Gus, summoned to a summit, walks into the enemy’s house and drinks their toast — then watches them all die as the poisoned tequila (Zafiro Añejo) does its work. Don Eladio’s pool, the same pool where Max died, now full of his own dying soldiers. The revenge, twenty years in the making, is served with an apology and a farewell toast. Mike takes a bullet; Jesse drives the escape; and the cartel, the season’s looming threat, evaporates in one hour. The show’s most operatic hour.
