Summary
After gunning down a disgraced officer, Eddie “The Riddler” Nygma partners with a mysterious woman named Thorn. Their crime riddled love affair turns Gotham upside down, forcing the Batman’s hand.
Our Take
A noir-soaked crime romance that lets the Riddler carry an episode mostly on his own twisted charm, and it mostly works. The Thorn pairing gives Nygma something to play off, though the love story gets rushed in the middle stretch. Batman feels like a guest star in his own show, but the ending lands hard enough to make it worth sitting through.
