Summary
Reduced to doing Paxton Power’s dirty work, The Royal Flush Gang begins to fall apart while Batman has to clean up the mess.
Our Take
A solid season opener that leans on the Royal Flush Gang’s slow collapse more than on Batman himself. The heist material is fun and the family dysfunction gives the villains some real weight, though the pacing sags in the middle. Paxton Powers makes a suitably slimy employer. Nothing groundbreaking, but a comfortable, well-executed hour for fans of the show’s recurring baddies.
