Summary

When Ruby’s “children” turn against her, she summons Ash to help her, and he brings Kelly and Pablo along to his hometown where Ruby has fled. Meanwhile, Pablo begins having unearthly visions and discovers that his uncle’s amulet has mystical powers.

Our Take

The season premiere leans hard into small-town Ash, and it mostly works because the gory slapstick and the pathetic-yet-cocky hero routine are as fun as ever. Pablo’s visions feel like setup rather than story this early, so that thread drags a bit. Still a fast, gross, funny way to kick things off, and longtime fans will be satisfied.
