Our Take
The Danger Island reboot gets off to a decent start, trading spy satire for cheesy adventure serial pastiche. The new setting is a fun shakeup and the cast slots into their roles easily, but the pilot spends a lot of time establishing the premise rather than landing jokes. Worth a look if you’re curious, though the best material is clearly still warming up.
