Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Paul Cassidy, a cop from Earth, is transported to another world by an evil scientist named Dr. Benign. But when he discovers a magical suit and talking gauntlets in an underground chamber, Paul transforms into a new hero: Apollo Gauntlet.
Our Take
A scrappy little pilot that mostly gets by on attitude. The deadpan delivery and cheap-looking animation are clearly the joke, and some of it lands, especially the talking gauntlets bickering at Paul. But the setup is thin and the gags are hit or miss, so the short runtime works in its favor. Worth a look if you like weird Adult Swim stuff, but it won’t wow anyone.
