Episode Summary & Review
Summary
In two viginettes, Anubus visits one of his followers. And a Middle Eastern salesman meets a fellow countryman in a New York taxicab. Meanwhile, Sweeney discovers that he gave his lucky coin to Shadow by mistake, and Shadow discovers how Wednesday raises his money.
Our Take
This is a slow burn that mostly works because of its side stories. The Anubis vignette is quietly beautiful, and the Jinn taxi ride gives the episode its real spark, while the main plot inches along with coin confusion and a decent heist sequence. It’s atmospheric and confident, though Wednesday’s con feels like filler. Worth watching for the newcomers alone.
