Summary
After packing away his things, Shadow begins his cross country trek with Wednesday and has an encounter with Lucy from I Love Lucy… on a TV screen. Meanwhile, Wednesday travels to Chicago to recruit an old “friend” to his cause.
Our Take
A strange, slower hour that leans hard into the show’s oddball tone, and it mostly works. Gillian Anderson’s chameleon turn as Lucy is a real highlight, and the Chicago bar scene has genuine snap, though some of the stylized detours feel like showing off. Worth it for the atmosphere alone, even if the plot barely moves.
