Episode Summary & Review

Summary

With Colonel Glenn Talbot now on their trail, Coulson and his team seek refuge in the last place anyone would look, where they begin to uncover S.H.I.E.L.D.’s most dangerous secrets — secrets that could destroy them all.

Our Take

This is a transitional hour that mostly resets the board after the HYDRA shakeup, so expect a lot of hiding out and exposition rather than action. Patton Oswalt’s arrival as Koenig is a fun distraction, and the creeping dread around Ward keeps things tense even when the plot stalls. Worth a watch, but it’s clearly setup for bigger episodes ahead.
