Summary
Simon finds his mind transported across time and space while danger closes in on Fionna and Cake.
Our Take
This one’s a quiet, melancholy hour that leans hard into Simon’s grief, and while there are some genuinely lovely moments in his dreamlike journey, the pace crawls. The Fionna and Cake scenes feel like placeholders until the last few minutes. Worth watching for the emotional payoff and the ending, but expect a lot of sitting with feelings first.
