Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Jake acquires an unexpected ally and returns to Dallas in his continuing attempt to find if Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone when killing Kennedy. However, the teacher finds love in a sleepy town where he finds work to maintain his cover.
Our Take
This one splits its time between Jake’s Oswald obsession and a surprisingly sweet romance in Jodie, and the balance is off. The Texas small-town stuff has real warmth and Franco clicks with Sarah Gadon, but the conspiracy threads mostly stall in repetitive surveillance scenes. It’s a pleasant, slow hour that feels like setup. Fine if you’re already invested, but don’t expect much momentum.
