Our Review
Take the hockey-movie premise and launch it into space: the Ducks are drafted by an alien coach to defend a planet with an ice rink instead of a weapon, a sports show wearing sci-fi armor. Each kid is a clear archetype with one hidden depth, and the show understands hockey enough that the action has positional logic.
The team chemistry carries it, the villains are goofy rather than scary, and the show delivers exactly what the title promises, week after week. It is a product of the Saturday morning syndication land-grab era, so the packaging is cheap even by 1996 standards.
Twenty six episodes, one season. Our score: 6/10. A fun, disposable sports cartoon; exactly what it says on the tin.
