Episode Summary & Review
Summary
In a world where superpowered “Supes” exist and can do whatever they want with the help of the corporation that supports them, normal men are powerless. But one man, Hughie Campbell, vows to fight back after a Supe accidentally kills his girlfriend. A shadowy figure, Billy Butcher, contacts Hughie and recruits the younger man to help him.
Our Take
A brash, gore-soaked opener that makes its pitch fast: heroes as corporate celebrities, and everyone else as collateral damage. Karl Urban’s Butcher is instantly fun, and the satire lands more often than it misses, though the shock-value gags occasionally try too hard. Worth your time if you want something mean and fast.
