Steven Grant learns that he may be a superhero, but may also share a body with a ruthless mercenary.
Our Take
A strange, confident debut that leans hard into disorientation, which mostly works in its favor. Oscar Isaac sells the confusion and loneliness of Steven’s life even when the pacing stumbles around the edges. The London setting and horror-tinged finale give it a flavor Marvel hasn’t tried before, and that alone makes it worth a look.
