Summary
Refusing to believe Will is dead, Joyce tries to connect with her son. The boys give Eleven a makeover. Nancy and Jonathan form an unlikely alliance.
Our Take
This is the episode where the show’s grief and horror threads start pulling together, and it mostly works. Winona Ryder gets room to sell Joyce’s stubbornness without going full cartoon, while the boys’ scenes with Eleven provide a nice breather that still lands some emotional punches. The Nancy and Jonathan pairing finally gives her storyline some momentum. Solid hour, worth your time.
