Fallen Angel

Episode Summary & Review

Summary

While Kovacs tracks down a man who sent Bancroft a death threat, Lt. Ortega bends the rules to keep tabs on his whereabouts.

Our Take

This episode leans hard into the noir detective stuff, and it mostly works thanks to Joel Kinnaman’s gruff charm and some genuinely unsettling world-building around the banlieue. Ortega gets more to do here and the show is better for it, though the pacing sags in the middle stretch. A solid follow-up that keeps you curious without fully hooking you.
