Summary
Waking up in a new body 250 years after his death, Takeshi Kovacs discovers he’s been resurrected to help a titan of industry solve his own murder.
Our Take
A dense, stylish opener that spends most of its runtime explaining its own world-building, sometimes through clunky exposition dumps. Joel Kinnaman works well as a sardonic lead, and the neo-noir visuals are genuinely striking, but the pacing drags in the middle stretch. Worth a look if cyberpunk is your thing, just be ready for a slow burn.
