Our Take
John Cena is clearly having a blast here, and his goofy, wrongheaded charm carries a lot of the premiere. The humor lands more often than the gross-out gags deserve, though the episode spends a bit too long setting up its premise. James Gunn’s direction keeps things brisk. A fun, crude start that earns the follow-up episode, even if it doesn’t wow you right away.
