Season 1: Chris Smith joins a black-ops team hunting butterflies, discovers his father’s monster-ness is worse than his own, and the show balances its R-rated idiocy with a genuinely moving portrait of a dumb man unlearning bigotry. The opening credits dance, Eagly, Vigilante’s adorable sociopathy, and Adebayo’s monologue about chosen family made it the best DC live-action series in years.
