Summary
Hoping to learn more about the Homunculi, Ed and Al devise a risky strategy to lure the creatures out of hiding. Step one of the brothers’ plan: risk death at the hands of their most dangerous enemy – Scar.
Our Take
A tense mid-season pivot that trades action for scheming, and mostly pulls it off. The brothers’ plan to use themselves as bait is reckless in a way that feels true to who they are, and Scar’s presence keeps every scene on edge. Some of the exposition around the Homunculi drags a bit, but the ending lands hard. Worth your time.
