Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Batman sends Young Justice on its first official mission, to investigate a neo steroid called Venom. The heroes ultimately find themselves in the middle of a small war between Bane and the Cobra Cult. Meanwhile, the heroes realize they need a team leader – but who will it be?
Our Take
The first real mission episode gives the team a chance to stretch, and the Bane versus Cobra Cult setup makes for some solid action beats. The leader debate is where this one shines, with Aqualad quietly emerging as the answer nobody expected. The villains are mostly window dressing, but the character dynamics carry it. Worth your time.
