Summary
Heahmund must try to convince King Alfred that his actions are in defense of the Crown. Ubbe and Torvi strengthen the position of the Vikings but not all in the Viking camp support their strategy. Another settler disappears in Iceland.
Our Take
A middling hour that mostly moves pieces around the board. The Iceland subplot finally builds some real dread, and Ubbe gets a few strong scenes, but the Heahmund political maneuvering feels like stalling. Torvi continues to be underused despite doing half the work. Watchable if you’re invested in the season’s slow build, but nothing here demands urgency.
