Episode Summary & Review
Summary
As the celebrations for Ivar continue in Kattegat, grief hits Iceland, and Floki must now make a fated decision. Harald’s army approaches Wessex. A conspiracy grows against King Alfred in Court.
Our Take
Ivar’s victory lap in Kattegat carries most of the hour, and Alex Høgh Andersen clearly relishes playing the paranoid young king, though the party scenes start to circle the same ideas. Floki’s storyline finally gets some forward motion after dragging for weeks. A decent setup hour with a few sharp moments, but it mostly feels like table-setting for bigger fights to come.
