Summary
Jake’s persistence pays off when he receives an exclusive from Detective Katagiri, but catches the less ideal eye of someone else in the process. Meanwhile, Samantha hits it off with a new customer, as Sato chooses between words and fists.
Our Take
This is the episode where the show settles into its rhythm, trading flash for slow-burn tension. The Katagiri material gives the hour its spine, and Sato’s standoff is genuinely tense because you can feel how little it would take to go sideways. Samantha’s storyline is thinner and drags a bit, but the atmosphere and the growing stakes for Jake carry it. Worth your time.
