Summary
Before they can save the world from The Candlemaker, the Doom Patrol must first confront their childhood imaginary friends. Meanwhile, Jane reflects on the first time that Miranda became “primary,” and Dorothy must make a fateful choice.
Our Take
A slower, sadder hour that trades action for therapy, and it mostly lands. The imaginary friend confrontations are hit or miss, with Vic’s storyline feeling thin, but Jane’s flashback to Miranda taking over is genuinely affecting stuff. Dorothy’s dilemma gives the finale some real weight. Worth your time if you’ve been invested in these characters all season.
