Summary
The Orville crew is surprised when Claire’s personal life takes an unexpected turn, and Gordon makes an unusual grooming suggestion to Bortus.
Our Take
This is the Isaac and Claire romance episode, and it works better than it probably should. The comedy subplot with Bortus growing a mustache is pure filler, but it’s dumb in a fun way. The main story gets surprisingly emotional by the end, even if the whole “can a robot love” question feels borrowed from better sci-fi. Worth watching for the ending alone.
