Primal Urges

Episode Summary & Review

Summary

Ed and the crew race to save a small group of survivors on a planet about to be destroyed by its sun. Meanwhile, Bortus and Klyden start marriage counseling when Bortus’ obsession with the ship’s simulation room gets out of hand.

Our Take

This one leans hard on Bortus’ holodeck porn addiction for comedy, and the joke wears thin well before the hour ends. The rescue plot on the dying planet should carry more weight, but it mostly serves as background noise. A few genuine laughs land, though the marriage counseling stuff gets uncomfortable rather than funny. Skip it unless you’re a completionist.
