Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Jonrosh’s (Ferrell) final chapter finds Winston (Osment) out to destroy his family, stopping at nothing to get his revenge. A Christmas party brings together Cynthia (Wiig), Devon (Maguire), Winston and the Shah of Iran.
Our Take
The finale mostly lands, wrapping up the melodrama with the right amount of absurdity. Wiig and Maguire keep committing to the bit even as the joke wears thin, and the Christmas party setup gives Ferrell’s framing device a decent sendoff. Some gags overstay their welcome, but it’s a short, silly hour that ends before the parody exhausts itself. Fine way to close it out.
