Summary
Duckman and the gang travel to San Francisco to attend Dickcon 97. He thinks he is being honored with an “achievement” award. When he gets there, he encounters an old rival from detective school. The rival is running the event and takes every opportunity to humiliate him. One of these methods involves an attempt to find a kidnapped Cornfed.
Our Take
A middling entry that leans hard on public humiliation comedy, and Duckman being dunked on for a half hour gets tiring even when the jokes land. The Cornfed kidnapping thread gives Cornfed a few good deadpan moments, but the rival character is more obnoxious than funny. Worth it for completists, though the San Francisco gags offer a couple of decent laughs.
