Summary
Duckman takes the family and Cornfed out for dinner. The karaoke machine comes out and Bernice’s rantings against Duckman are heard by a record company big wig. He markets her as an Alanis Morrisette type of singing sensation; however, the tour takes a toll on her and the family.
Our Take
A middling outing that leans hard on one joke: Bernice’s rage-fueled karaoke turning into pop stardom. The satire of the music industry has some bite, but the family-on-tour stuff drags and feels padded. Worth a watch for fans of the show’s meaner streak, though it’s far from the season’s best.
