Summary
Jack attempts to get closer with the guys at work by inviting them over for a game night; Helen helps Principal Durbin grow a backbone; Stef and Mary try to coax information out of Michelle about the court case she was a juror on.
Our Take
Game night should be an easy win for this cast, but the jokes mostly land as light chuckles rather than real laughs. Glenn Howerton sells Jack’s awkward bonding attempts hard, and the Durbin subplot gets a couple of decent moments. It’s a pleasant enough half hour that coasts on familiarity, fine for fans keeping up, skippable if you’re behind.
