Summary
Cole has his loyalty tested when Ramse and Railly go rogue, embarking on an unsanctioned mission that sends them to 1961 East Berlin. Once there, they have murder on their minds as they search for an unscrupulous German doctor who knows the location of The Witness.
Our Take
The East Berlin setting gives this episode a nice Cold War change of pace, and the period details feel genuinely effortful rather than slapped together. The problem is the middle stretch, which leans on capture-and-escape beats we’ve seen done better elsewhere in the season. Still, the character work between Cole and Ramse keeps it watchable, and the ending earns its twist.
