Summary
Marty is tasked with proving Omar wasn’t involved with a bombing. Wendy pays a visit to the Lazy-O Motel. Ruth and Wyatt make a plan.
Our Take
A quieter setup hour that mostly works because the character pairings are strong, even if the pacing sags in the middle. Ruth and Wyatt’s scenes carry real weight, while Wendy’s motel detour gives Laura Linney some room to be genuinely unnerving. Not much plot actually moves, but the tension simmers nicely enough that it earns its place.
