Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Sam works a case for a woman named Gillian, who’s being blackmailed into using her security clearance to help smuggle heroin into the U.S.Meanwhile, Michael attempts to arrange a meeting with the man who he believes burned him, Philip Cowan.
Our Take
Sam gets more screen time than usual here and Bruce Campbell makes the most of it, though the blackmail case itself is fairly routine spy-business stuff. The stronger thread is Michael chasing Philip Cowan, which finally gives the burn-notice arc some forward momentum. A solid midseason episode, nothing special, but it moves quick enough that you won’t mind.
