Five foes from Marceline’s past come back to cause trouble for the Land of Ooo.
Our Take
The middle chunk of the Stakes miniseries settles into a groove of hunting vampires one by one, and it mostly works because Marceline’s history keeps things grounded. Some of the villain introductions feel rushed, and the pacing sags a bit between fights. Still worth it for the character bits with Princess Bubblegum and the glimpses of what Marceline actually lost.
