Episode Summary & Review
Summary
As the sun rises on her last day, Marceline recalls her long extraordinary life.
Our Take
A slow, sad, lovely change of pace from the miniseries’ opening chaos. This is basically one long flashback for Marceline, and it earns it, especially the quiet moments with her mother and that little song that will stick with you longer than most of the show’s action scenes. Not much plot movement, but the mood work is strong. Worth it if you’re already invested in her backstory.
