Walt buys a snub nosed revolver for Gus and then can’t find an opening to use it; Jesse’s grief for Gale expresses itself as a nonstop party, the house filling with strangers and speakers while Jesse sits motionless in the middle, waiting to feel something. The paranoia hour: everyone waits for Gus’s move, nobody can act, and the episode’s dread is the season’s new normal.
