Summary

In the third-season premiere, Walt faces a new threat on a new front and deals with an increasingly angry Skyler, who must consider what to do next with her life and the kids’. Meanwhile, Jesse comes face-to-face with some startling self-revelations.

Our Take

The neighborhood deals with the plane crash’s fallout; Skyler files for divorce and discovers Walt’s money through Ted Beneke’s books; and Walt, refusing to accept the end, delivers the season’s thesis: he’s not in the drug business for cancer money anymore. “How much is enough?” Skyler asks. The cousins, crawling to a shrine, end the premiere with an axe to a portrait of Heisenberg. The season’s dread engine: Salamanca blood hunting Fring infrastructure, with Walt in the middle.
