Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Despite Walt’s attempt to reconnect with the family, a suspicious Skyler keeps him at arm’s length and worries about what he’s been up to while he’s been away from the house; Jesse finds himself on the streets once again and struggles to improve his lot in life.
Our Take
Jesse’s bottoming out: his parents evict him from his aunt’s house (with a betrayal inside the betrayal — they’re flipping the house he inherited expectations of), his crew disperses, and the episode becomes an hour about failure with barely a crime in it. The emotional core: Walt and Jesse, estranged and each other’s only honest mirror, reconnecting over a job interview gone sideways. The show proves it can do quiet, and the bond underneath the partnership shows through the wreckage.
