Summary

Season 2 kicks off with Walt and Jesse once again bearing witness to Tuco’s incendiary disposition, which leads them to the conclusion that it’s time to put an end to their business dealings with him. But the question is how. Meanwhile, Hank serves as a go-between for estranged sisters Skyler and Marie.

The aftermath of Tuco’s parking-lot murder: Walt calculates exactly what his family needs — $737,000 — and announces he’ll cook his way to it and then quit, a countdown the whole season runs on. Meanwhile, Tuco’s relatives crawl across the Mexican desert to a Santa Muerte shrine, looking for Heisenberg. The season premiere establishes the new scale: no more lone crazies; now come the cartels, the cousins, and the consequences of a legend spreading.
