Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Back in the real world with no memories of Borderland, Arisu and Usagi encounter Ryuji, a professor with a fixation on near death experiences.
Our Take
A quiet, uneasy season opener that trades the games for something more psychological, and it mostly works. The amnesia reset is a familiar trick, but the tension of watching Arisu and Usagi brush against memories they can’t access keeps you leaning in. Ryuji is an unsettling presence right away. Worth your time if you’re patient with setup.
