Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Usagi will have to change the hearts and minds of the cynical players on the Queen’s team. At the Supreme Court, Chishiya meets the King of Diamonds.
Our Take
This hour splits its focus between two strong setups and mostly earns the runtime. The Queen of Hearts game is the emotional core, and Usagi’s stubborn decency plays well against players who’ve given up on each other. Chishiya’s chess match with the King of Diamonds is colder and talkier, but the mind games land. Worth your time, even if the pacing dips in the middle.
