Summary
Aguni has one thing on his mind; to find and kill the King of Spades. He’s joined by Arisu and a determined high schooler named Akane Heiya.
Our Take
A grim, propulsive hour built around Aguni’s quest for revenge, and it mostly works because his grief and rage feel earned. The new character Heiya is a fun wildcard, though her archery-hero shtick verges on cartoonish next to the show’s heavier material. The King of Spades chase delivers real tension and the action choreography is genuinely strong. Worth your time, even if the tonal swings are jarring.
